Space-4-Shoots

Acclaimed fashion photographer Alexandre Saveliev (MM , alexandresaveliev.com) is offering a 6 hour photography workshop at Space-4-Shoots on Saturday, May 23rd.  Alexandre will teach his lighting technique and how to direct and bring the best out of a model.  Cost is $150 for the six hours starting at 11 am.

It’s been Space-4-Shoots premise from the start that two separate shoots can happen at the studio at the same time.   On Saturday, May 2nd, it happened with two photographers and sets of models overlapping for more than 5 hours.  One shot in the front half of the studio and the second in the back half under the tents.  At times the only thing separating them was the fraction of a millimeter of black seamless paper with both shooting against opposite sides of it!  With the music loud enough, each shoot was in their own world.

It worked;)

We had 70+ models, photographers, and MUAs at our second party.  Lito (MM #904541) won the photographer raffle and selected model Rebecca (MM #74251) to photograph.  Linda Wang won the model raffle and selected photographer David (MM #97874) to work with.  Congratulations to all.

Space-4-Shoots’ first networking party had about 30 models and photographers attending. David (MM #97874) won the photographer raffle and selected model Elena (MM #547256) to photograph.  Rebecca (MM #74251) won the model raffle selected photographers Al (MM #396103) and Ben (MM #555381) to work with.

When: Tuesday, February 24, 6-9 pm 

Where: Greenwich Village, Manhattan (address sent by email) 

Meet and network with tens of fashion, glamor, and art models and photographers from the Tri-State area at Space-4-Shoots in Manhattan. 

Two $200 shoots will be raffled during the party! 

In the first raffle, the winning photographer gets to choose a model from the party to work with in a 2 hour shoot. 

In the second raffle, the winning model gets to choose a photographer from the party to work with in a 2 hour shoot. 

In each case, the model receives $200 and the shoot is scheduled at the convenience of the model and photographer. 

Bring examples of your work on a USB stick for display on digital photo frames.  Bring your business cards, tear sheets, etc.  Bring two pages from your MM profile to pin up on the tack board.  Also bring your appetite and groove, there’ll be munchies and music. 

This party is 100% FREE, but you have to be on the guest list to get in.  Here’s how to RSVP:
