New hours of operation: As of July 2nd, Space-4-Shoots will be open the following days and times:
Mondays: 10 am - 7 pm
Tuesdays: closed
Wednesdays: 10 am - 7 pm
Thursdays: closed
Fridays: 10 am - 7 pm
Saturdays: 10 am - 7 pm
Sundays: 10 am - 7 pm
During above days and times, rental rates are $20/hour (half the studio) $40/hour (whole studio).
Shoots outside those days and times, may be accommodated based on staff availability at the rental rate of $30/hour (half the studio) $50/hour (whole studio).
Existing studio bookings will be honored.
Our rental rates are $20/hour for half the studio and $40/hour for the whole studio (both include use of our lights)
Renting half the studio is available for photo shoots with no more than 5 people total (including photographer, model(s), makeup, client(s), escort, moms, etc.) and that only need one makeup station.
Renting the full studio is required if your crew is more than 5 people, you are shooting video, or you need use of both makeup stations (e.g. makeup and hair working at the same time on two models).
Photo shoot rental includes use of:
- a 10′ x 20′ “shooting area”
- lighting equipment (6 mono-lights, 39″ & 35″ softboxes, 20 x 50″ strip softboxes, 17″ & 16″ beauty dishes, snoot, booms, reflector, umbrellas)
- collection of furnishings (bed, sofa, armchairs, ottomans, chairs, stools) and fabrics for sets, backgrounds, etc.
- bathroom, dressing, and make up station
- small kitchenette (sink, microwave, refrigerator)
- iMac station with 24″ screen
- wifi
- sound system (MP3 player or wifi powered)
PocketWizard triggers are available for $3 rental per trigger.
We also have 9′ seamless paper backdrops (white, black, gray, studio blue, and others by request). The charge is $1.50 per foot touching the floor (i.e. the amount discarded after the shoot).
See the calendar below for studio availability. Note that “busy” only appears when both shoot spaces are booked or the whole studio is reserved for a special event. Open times do not mean the whole studio is available.
Rental & Payment Terms:
- Space must be reserved and booked in advance (no walk-in).
- Payment terms: 50% pre-payment ($20 minimum) to hold reservation. This deposit must be made via PayPal (to payments at space4shoots dot com) with the balance paid on the day of the shoot - before it starts and in cash only. Please see cancellation policy below.
- Rental period starts from the reserved time and not when the shoot starts.
- Shoot must be done, with crew packed and ready to walk out of the door by end of the reserved time slot. In other words, the reservation time includes your set up, shoot, and breakdown and is not just the shooting time. If you need to shoot for a full hour, reserve two hours.
- If you need more time, ask before the end of the shoot and it will be allowed if there is not another shoot scheduled. The charge for additional time is $20/hour rounded up to the nearest hour.
Cancellation Policy:
- For cancellation 7 days or more before shoot: Full refund of pre-payment.
- For cancellation 5-7 days before shoot: 100% credit towards a future shoot
- For cancellation 3-5 days before shoot: 75%% credit towards a future shoot
- For cancellation 48-72 hours before shoot: 50% credit towards a future shoot
- For cancellation 24-48 hours before shoot: 25% credit towards a future shoot
- For cancellation within 24 hours before shoot: no refund or credit
