Studio used for talent interviews the first half of the day. Then a late afternoon cancellation due to model canceling on the photographer (what’s up with models canceling shoots?).

One of our regular customers booked/shot in the evening. The back side of the studio has its fans among some photographers and models…

One of the studio’s long time customers rented the studio for the whole day, our favorite type of rental (for obvious reasons) but also everyone is more comfortable and productive when they have the whole studio to themselves for the whole day.

The photographer scheduled a number of his clients and personal projects on the same day, smart. He had a good team of models and MUA/hair.

Today two photographers were no shows and one canceled 20 minutes before their shoot! Total waste of our time, particularly one that booked at 7 am! They won’t be shooting here again…

In the afternoon shoots, a model canceled on her photographer so they were out of luck. But finally, the last shoot went as planned with the whole crew present. The photographer came to shoot some punk photos or heavy metal photos..whatever you call it these days. He showed up with two models (male and female) dressed all in black with crazy hair and very dark eye make-up. They put on some punk music and did some headshots along with body shots then the shoot was over. The shoot lasted and hour and 30 mins. It was an okay shoot.  I’d rather go see a Ozzy Osbourne concert;)

Space-4-Shoots’ 3rd Beauty & Fashion workshop will be Wednesday April 7 (6-9 pm) with agency models Stacie and Tara and guest fashion photographer Oleg Igorin.

Our monthly workshops bring together two great models, a guest fashion photographer, a MUA/hair stylist, and 6-8 photographers recreating a full beauty/fashion shoot and producing great images.

Oleg will direct the look of the models, set up the lights, and answer questions about his technique and work.  We will have two agency models and a makeup and hair team.

The workshop is open to a maximum of 8 photographers working in rotation with the models and with only one photographer shooting each model at a time.  You can adjust the lights during your rotation or leave them as set up by Oleg.

The cost of the 3 hour workshop is $90.
